See my full dayWhen I was 115kg, I thought I needed motivation to change. I waited for the "right moment" โ but it never came. The shift happened when I stopped waiting and started building a routine.
This isn't about being perfect. Some days I hit every step. Other days I fall short. But I never skip โ because a routine is what carries you through the days when motivation is nowhere to be found.
Every hour has a purpose. Here's how I structure my day.
I wake up early โ no snooze, no hesitation. The first 30 minutes are for me.
I set the tone for the day. No phone, no distractions โ just focus.
My first meal of the day โ fuel for the workout ahead.
2 hours of focused training โ my favourite part of the day.
Deep work block โ no distractions, just focused output.
Refueling after the morning workout โ balanced and nutrient-dense.
I invest at least 1 hour daily in learning โ fitness, nutrition, or mindset.
Lighter than lunch, but still packed with protein and veggies.
Preparing for deep, restorative sleep โ the foundation of recovery.
7โ8 hours of quality sleep. This is where the magic happens โ muscle repair, mental recovery, and growth.
The non-negotiables that make up my routine.
3+ litres of water daily. I start every morning with a glass and keep a bottle with me everywhere.
Every dayProtein with every meal โ minimum 1.8g per kg of bodyweight. Essential for muscle repair.
Every meal6 days a week. No excuses. Even when I'm tired, I show up and do something.
6ร / weekAt least 10 pages a day. Continuous learning keeps my mind sharp and my perspective fresh.
Every day8,000+ steps every day. Walking is underrated โ it's movement, recovery, and clarity.
Every day7โ8 hours of uninterrupted sleep. No screens 30 minutes before bed. Consistent schedule.
Every nightWhat I've learned about creating habits that actually stick.
Don't try to change everything at once. Pick one habit โ like drinking water first thing in the morning โ and master it before adding more.
You will miss days. You will have bad days. The key is to never miss twice. Get back on track immediately.
Attach new habits to existing ones. For example: "After I brush my teeth, I will do 10 pushups." It makes it easier to remember.
Use a journal, an app, or a simple checklist. Tracking keeps you accountable and shows you how far you've come.
Read this when you feel like skipping.
โI used to wait for motivation. I'd wake up and ask myself, 'Do I feel like working out today?'
And most days, the answer was no.
Then I stopped asking. I stopped deciding and started doing.
I built a routine so strong that motivation became irrelevant.
Discipline is what you do when motivation is nowhere to be found.
It's showing up on the days you don't feel like it. It's choosing the hard choice over the easy one,
because you know who you want to become.
Your routine is your identity. Build one that makes you proud.โ
